Navigating the complexities of the cancer journey can be challenging, but together, we are paving the way for a brighter future. Through collaboration, we are developing and curating essential resources to build upon existing efforts, elevating and standardizing supportive cancer care for all patients and their caregivers.

Supportive cancer care as a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to care for people affected by cancer that improves people’s lives. Supportive cancer care programs ensure that the unique needs of people with cancer and their caregivers are met at every step of the cancer journey—integrating clinical care with meeting a person’s needs related to physical and emotional health, as well as needs related to decision making, economic conditions, and surroundings.

ACCC’s Resource Hub was curated by leaders in medical oncology, social work, psychology, nursing, patient navigation, survivorship care and planning, and patient advocacy.

NHPCO offers a summary of palliative care certification and accreditation programs that highlight standards for quality palliative care and can inform discussions about such certification and accreditation programs.

This toolkit was developed from a decade of research gleaned from a consortium of organizations in the field of serious illness care. It aims to improve the way health care professionals communicate about care for serious illness to make it understandable and accessible to the public.

CAPC’s interactive tool that provides an assessment of the availability and quality of palliative care services in hospitals across the United States. This resource offers insight into the current state of palliative care, which can inform discussions on strategies to improve access to supportive care.

The Patient Navigation webpage provides an overview of patient navigation's role in cancer care, highlighting its impact on reducing disparities, supporting marginalized communities, and improving access to quality care across the cancer continuum. It also outlines professional standards and collaborative efforts led by the American Cancer Society’s National Navigation Roundtable.
